Inspiration and Finding Peace Within

I have often stuggled with being a working mom with a small child (and another on the way). My heart sometimes aches to be a stay at home mom. And sometimes I'm jealous of the friends that I know who do get to be stay at home mommy. However, I am doing my best with the vocation that God gave me. A wife, a mother and a working mom. For some reason this is where God wants me to be right now. Well, last week true inspiration arrived in my mailbox from a wonderful blog friend. At first I just thought, how nice - a holy card about St. Gianna. I hadn't heard of her. She is the "unofficial" saint of the unborn. As I read the holy card I realized that she was just what I needed! Since finding out about her I have done more research online. I can't believe it! She was a working mom, a loving wife, a wonderful mother and a faithfilled woman. Just the role model I needed. I just love her picture from her holy card too. The perfect picture of a loving mother and her eyes are looking towards heaven. There is something very peaceful about it. I am making it my Lenten project to read more about her and maybe find ways to finally come to peace within myself with what God asks of me in my role as a working mom. I think there is much to learn from St. Gianna's life. God Bless my wonderful blog friend for sending this little bit of inspiration my way. I'm excited to start my Lenten reading!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. It's so nice to have your support and prayers.
So, you can teach me about your saint while I learn about Job! Sounds like we have our lenten homework.
Peace.
