Simple Christmas Blessings

So we had a little bit of an unusual Christmas this year. I haven't felt good for a few weeks now and I have been such a slacker. I unusual have everything bought and wrapped long before the week of Christmas. This year I was wrapping on Christmas Eve. And I hardly baked this year.

However, Jack has been wonderful! It has been through the little sweet moments with him this year that I have found the most holiday spirit. How he takes in lights. How he lays under the tree and gazes up into the branches. How he wishes for snow and wants to wear his boots. His love of Christmas movies. He takes after his momma with that trait. His precious visit with Santa. His songs at his school holiday program. How he wants to always help in the kitchen and how he loves to add sprinkles to any baked good. His wonderful belief in Santa and how he lovingly left out cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer this year. His wide eyes at his big Christmas morning surprise - a non-pink play kitchen. Daddy said it just couldn't be pink. And best of all his little voices as he sings me Christmas songs each morning on the way to preschool. I have loved every minute of it my precious little man. What a little blessing you are to me!!!
